Darci Lynne, the 19-year-old winner of America’s Got Talent, just released her new country single, “Someone Wake Me Up,” earlier today (August 23). She also premiered the lyric video for the track as well, which the Oklahoma native wrote with the songwriting team of Shane Henry and Maggie McClure. “I’m almost 20 years old, so I’ve had my fair share of dates and boys,” Lynne said. “It’s safe to say I’ve almost lost hope for something real, but this song is hopeful. I hope people listen and believe in true love like I still do!”

The same songwriting team previously worked with the young singer on her debut single, “Push Our Luck,” which came out back in February. And even though Lynne is still new to the music industry, she isn’t afraid to experiment with her sound, which is reflected in her brand new single. “I’ve really been diving into my sound and ‘Someone Wake Me Up’ specifically leans more ‘pop’ than the country vibe of ‘Push Our Luck,’” she says. “I’m still experimenting when it comes to what I write and I’m excited to bring people with me as I do!” (People)
